Dr. Logan Spector leads researchers to create world's largest repository of pediatric cancer germline genomic data

Logan Spector UMN

The National Cancer Institute awarded a $2.9 million R01 grant to pool and analyze existing germline genomic and epidemiologic data from the Childhood Cancer and Leukemia International Consortium (CLIC) and other publicly available data sources. Led by Drs. Logan Spector (Medical School) and Saonli Basu (School of Public Health), the resulting large, integrated and diverse dataset (and the infrastructure to support and analyze it) will help accelerate data-driven discoveries about the underlying genetic and non-genetic causes of childhood cancer.
