UMN Research Team First to Study Stroke Patterns in Hmong Americans

A research team led by Dr. Haithan Hussein has published the first study that found that Hmong American stroke patients have a higher incidence of brain hemorrhage, hardening of the arteries in the brain and small vessel disease. In response to findings, the research team developed stroke educational materials including videos specifically adapted to Hmong culture and featuring Hmong-speaking stroke survivors. READ MORE>>
