The Midwest Antiviral Drug Discovery (AViDD) Center is part of a network of nine national centers established by NIAID in response to the public health emergency caused by COVID-19. The center brings together collaborative investigators from the University and sixteen other institutions nationwide where work is underway to create a large armory of antiviral drugs to prepare for the next viral pandemic.
