Only one in one million people are affected by the rare genetic disease called xeroderma pigmentosum (XP). With XP, people do not have the ability to repair their skin after exposure to ultraviolet rays. We recently hosted a medical conference and retreat for children with XP. The event involved faculty from across the Medical School and launched several clinical studies.
