It doesn't matter if a disease is rare if it happens to someone you care about. Four years ago, Brock Groh was diagnosed with a rare degenerative genetic disorder, adrenoleukodystrophy. He received a cord blood transplant and is now living normal life as a nine-year-old. Because Brock's doctor, Troy Lund, is also a researcher working on more effective treatments and outcomes for children with the disorder, Brock's family helped start X out ALD to raise funds for the UMN Leukodystrophy Research Center.
